This section sets out the terms on which we do business and what we can expect from each other.
We will carry out the services as advertised on this website on the appointed date and as close to the appointed time as possible for the advertised price.
By booking an appointment you agree to attend at your appointment time and be adequately prepared as set out on the appropriate webpage. If you are more than 10 minutes late your appointment slot is lost. We will accommodate you if there is an appropriate gap in our schedule, but if there is no gap then the appointment will need to be rearranged.
Failure to attend without notifying us may incur a non attendance fee of £20. To notify us of a cancellation, or if you wish to reschedule the appointment simply click on the 'manage booking' button on the confirmation email. Likewise we will contact you if due to unforeseen circumstances we need to cancel or reschedule. To enable us to do this you need to provide us with accurate contact details when you book. We cannot be held responsible for failure to notify you if contact details are not provided or are inaccurate.
You will be asked questions appropriate for your medical assessment during your appointment. You will be completely honest with regard to your medical history when answering questions, and will fully disclose all significant problems from your medical history. The responsibility for failing to do so rests solely with you and BorderMed takes no responsibility for your acts or omissions in this regard or their consequences.
We will keep our prices low and access to our services easy and fast. We do this by both you and us having prepared adequately for your appointment so that we can do this quickly and efficiently. Please have the necessary paperwork and visual aids to hand and answer questions concisely and accurately. A summary of what you need to do/bring is on the webpage appropriate for your medical. Inadequate preparation may result in your medical not going ahead.
By booking an appointment you agree to pay on the day for the service received. By prior arrangement we are happy to invoice/ receive payment by BACS for services. It must be clear who to send the invoice to, and an email address must be known, and the recipient must have agreed in advance to pay the invoice. If no such agreement is in place then payment will be taken on the day.
Payment of invoices sent will be made within 7 days of receipt please. Fees of £25 per contact required and 20% apr. interest will be accrued in the event of a non payment in addition to any costs awarded in the event of legal action being required.
We expect you to read and follow the appropriate advice on the service specific webpage and carry out the necessary preparation and bring the appropriate paperwork. If this isn't done then we reserve the right not to proceed on the day and we may even charge a £20 administration fee. This advice applies in particular to Taxi Drivers not registered at Spencer Street Surgery for whom the medical cannot be completed without a current medical summary obtained via your GP.
We will complete the medical examinations with diligence and check the resultant paperwork and certificates before you leave on the day and expect you to check the forms also before you send them on or deploy. Mistakes occur. We will take responsibility for correcting our error either by seeing you as soon as is possible to make the necessary correction OR you can have a full refund. If you opt for the refund then you will return to us the original certificates and paperwork we issued to you before the refund is issued. We do not take responsibility for any consequences of an error being missed by both our initial check and your final check.
We will be polite and professional. We expect courtesy in return. Aggression or violence either verbal or physical will not be tolerated.

By booking with us you give your consent to act in this regard.
